NO KINGS 3 — WE SHOWED UP
On Saturday, March 28, Genesee Valley showed up — not once, but twice. From Perry to Geneseo, our communities filled the streets to say clearly: we will not be ruled. No Kings 3 wasn’t just a rally — it was proof that resistance reaches into every corner of this region.
Thank you. To everyone who made a sign, drove a distance, brought a neighbor, or simply stood with us — this movement is yours. Your presence sends a message that cannot be ignored.
Our gratitude goes out to the coalition partners who made No Kings 3 possible in Livingston and Wyoming Counties:
- 5 & 20 Alliance
- Genesee Valley Citizens for Peace
- Genesee Valley Indivisible
- Hemlock Rising
- Peace Action Geneseo
- WyCoNY Indivisible
GENESEE VALLEY VOICES
A GVI member shares what is happening to the people they know:
I have dear friends living outside Minneapolis. They are undocumented immigrants — hard-working, tax-paying, and family-oriented. They want nothing more than a quiet life and better opportunities for their kids. In early February, the mother was followed home from work by unmarked cars, surrounded by ten masked agents, dragged from her truck, shackled, and detained for three nights — then released without explanation. She was pulled over for driving with brown skin.
Volunteer advocates brought her home to her four children and accompanied her to her immigration appointment and court date. Now she’s in limbo. Another court date has yet to be set. She lost her job. Her family is haunted. How does she explain this to her first-grader?
These are good people. They are good friends and neighbors. I am disgusted and angry — and so grateful for everyone voicing their disapproval.
