52nd Annual Hiroshima-Nagasaki Candlelight Vigil

Genesee Valley Citizens for Peace, together with their allies from Rochester Chapter 23 Veterans For Peace, will hold their 52nd annual candlelight vigil commemorating the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki on August 6th and 9th, 1945. Eighty-one years after these horrific events, the nations of the world have still not eliminated these terrible weapons.

This is a solemn memorial vigil — we don't chant, but sing peaceful songs. We'll have candlearias, candles, and signs reading "Remember Hiroshima and Nagasaki," "No Nukes," and similar messages. Please join us — hold one of our signs, or bring your own about the horror of nuclear weapons.
