A panel discussion on immigration justice will be held 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Temple B’rith Kodesh, 2131 Elmwood Avenue.
Sponsored by the Greater Rochester Community of Churches, this dialogue will focus on gracefully resisting immoral directives and empowering us with passion and wisdom to listen to the people closest to the pain of injustice.
Panelists are: Rabbi Peter Stein of Temple B’rith Kodesh; Bishop Kara Wagner Sherer of the Episcopal Diocese; Cassandra Bocanegra, senior manager of organizing and strategy, Finger Lakes Region of the New York Immigration Coalition; and Cary Jensen, pro bono immigration attorney and chair of the GRCC Faith in Action Network.
Donations will be accepted for Haitian refugees struggling with the current administration’s attacks on their status, employment and future in the U.S.
