Stop ICE Terror: Protest for Justice for Renee Nicole Good
–
January 8, 2026

Genesee Valley Indivisible, with a coalition of activist groups, is co-sponsoring an anti-ICE protest in Rochester today. The protest will consist of rallying on sidewalks, displaying signs, chants, and singing. By attending, you agree to participate in a peaceful, non-violent protest.Â
If there are enough people attending, a group may block the driveway for a short time in a show of civil disobedience. (Those who are not comfortable doing so do not have to participate.)
Carpooling or ridesharing - the best we can do on this short timeline is ask people who can offer a ride or need a ride to meet between 3:45pm and 4:00pm this afternoon at the former commuter bus parking area at I-390 Exit 7 (Lakeville/Avon). It is off the driveway entrance to the Quicklee's Avon Travel Center. If you need a ride from home or work, please call or text around to find someone.
- 5 pm - Assemble at Customs and Border Protection Office - 171 Pattonwood Dr. (Arrive when you can)
- 5:30 pm - Speakers begin
- Signs and messaging should focus on abolishing ICE
- Bring flashlights, glowsticks, etc. and wear high-visibility or reflective clothing, if possible.
The usual GVI Thursday meeting location will be open for those members unable to attend the protest.
