Tenney’s support for Micron plant shows her hypocrisy

Claudia Tenney, our congresswoman from New York 24 posted the following on her official X account: “It was exciting to break ground with @MicronTech on its historic investment in New York State. This project will create 50,000 jobs and strengthen domestic semiconductor manufacturing across NY. I was honored to lead this effort in the House as Congress reaffirmed America’s commitment to long-term innovation & competitiveness.”

What she left out of the post was the fact that funding for construction of the plant was made possible by the CHIPS and Science Act which was passed by Democrats under the Biden administration. Tenney not only voted against the legislation, she criticized it at the time as “lacking critical guardrails and includes loopholes that in the long run could benefit China” and called it a “partisan stunt by Democrats.”

Now she’s taking credit for the new plant. Talk about hypocrisy?
