Elect Alissa Ellman, Defeat Tenney. Co-organized with the 5&20 Alliance, on the last day of the Hemlock Fair — big crowds, our signs out front.

This Week’s Call: Stop Todd Blanche
Todd Blanche — Trump’s personal defense lawyer, now acting Attorney General — had a rough confirmation hearing, and the Senate Judiciary Committee votes this week. One Republican no vote can stop him. Call Sen. Schumer and Sen. Gillibrand:
Script format: “The Attorney General must serve the Constitution, not the president personally. Todd Blanche’s record as Trump’s defense lawyer and his refusal to commit to independence disqualify him. Please vote no and urge your colleagues on the Judiciary Committee to do the same.”
Our Region Got in Good Trouble
Concerned citizens turned out across the region this past weekend for Good Trouble Lives On — Ovid, Auburn, Seneca Falls, and on Sunday, Batavia, where the crowd gathered just steps from the ICE detention facility that’s expanding for the second time this summer. John Lewis asked us never to be afraid to make some noise and get in good, necessary trouble. That’s exactly what our neighbors did.

Street medic training. Monroe County Medics (MCMedics) covers first aid at the larger rallies and pro-democracy events. With the Rochester Street Medics Collaborative, they’re running a 3-day training July 31–August 2. No health care experience required. Contact us for more information and to sign up.
